My name is Emily. I’m a communications professional and jazz enthusiast. This is a food blog, so I’m obviously a millennial. I live in downtown Toronto. I don’t have a lot of counter space. I’m trying to get better at cooking.
Apologies to my friend Hannah, I’ll promise we’ll eat out together again eventually.
Food blogs I love
Here are some food blogs I love. Hopefully this will expand as the project continues.
Cookie and Kate – Since January, my very dreamy live-in boyfriend has been a vegan who eats fish, or a pescetarian who doesn’t eat dairy or eggs. This blog is a life-saver.
Food52 – Browsing this site to plan expansive and detailed dinner parties I’ll never actually pull off is a favourite rainy day activity of mine.
Jaime Oliver – One time, on a weeknight, I decided to try Jamie’s 30-minute Rainbow trout with horseradish yoghurt and balsamic beets. It was delicious. We ate at 10:30 p.m.
Oh She Glows! – I mean, obviously.
Other blogs you might find of interest
Fruitless Apparatus – A wonderful complement to your Careless Cook reading, Fruitless Apparatus explores the writer’s backlog of cooking tools that have never left the box.
Just Treat Yourself – Not interested in the whole cooking at home thing? Just Treat Yourself features spots around the city for indulgence.
The Savvy Bridesmaids – If you’re interested in learning to cook more successfully at home, chances are you’re a millennial. If you’re a millennial, chances are your friends are starting to get married and you might even be in one wedding. The Savvy Bridesmaids will tell you what you need to know to do it right.
